Richard Woolcott Public Lecture - Australia's bid for UN Security Council - 6pm 10th December 2011

UN Youth Tasmania, The Evatt Trophy Competition 2011 and the United Nations Association of Australia are proud to present a public lecture from Richard Woolcott entitled "A Seat at the Table: Australia's bid for the United Nations Security Council." 

This exciting lecture takes place at 6pm on Saturday 10th December at the University of Tasmania Medical Sciences Building (Menzies Institute), Corner of Campbell and Liverpool Streets, Hobart, Tasmania. 

Richard Woolcott AC is a retired diplomat and author. He was Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade from 1988 to 1992. He was the last person to represent Australia on the United Nations Security Council and served as the President of the Security Council in November 1985. His experience gives him unique insight into the arguments for and against Australia’s bid for a seat on the UN Security Council.
