The Tasmanian Round of the Evatt Trophy

The Tasmanian Round of the Evatt Trophy, formerly known as the Ban-Ki Moon Medallion, is a mock Security Council debating competition, where teams of two students from the same school represent a Member State of the United Nations Security Council. The Tasmanian Round of the Evatt Trophy usually takes place in September each year and consists of mock Security Council action with workshops and guest speakers to value add your experience.

The Tasmanian Round of the Evatt Trophy is a competition and teams will be judged by expert adjudicators based on their research and knowledge, debating skills, and negotiating abilities. However, it is not just for experienced debaters but also students with just a general interest in public speaking or politics.

In addition to the competition itself delegates will be able to develop there negotiation and public speaking skills in a number of workshops as well as attending a Diplomatic Reception with various dignitaries and academia.
